What to do with all of these???

These are all blocks that I don't know what to do with they are all different sizes and color schemes.
I think maybe I could make the ones with even numbers up into candle mates and give them as gifts.
I have a bunch of little quilts already, this one could use a nice border and it would make a great wall hanging or maybe I should try to do an applique or maybe a round robin type deal to make it bigger.
This is obviouslly a patriotic nine patch that could be a candle mat too.
Here is another small start to something I wanted to try. Maybe I could take the rows apart and add it to something else and not try to re-invent the whole thing?
These should go with the crumbs and become more squares for a bigger quilt. I make to many small things.
More of I don't know what to do with these, I was trying many things when I first started getting serious about quilting. The Roman square thing would be great (maybe) if I did some applique and made that into a table runner.
These are left overs from another project, the only thing that comes to mind is to use four of them in a big border. The only other idea I have is to take the squares and applique them in some random order onto a top and make it as a sampler or something like that.

Machine down,blues

My machine is having tension problems, I have really been busy sewing like crazy so I think it is just par for the course. I do have a back up machine but in the meantime here are more of my finished quilts the star one is a class I took from Pepper Cory I had a blast learning about design. The little nine patch in there is done by hand, a take along project for all those things the girls have to go to.
The heart one in the upper left corner has a sister that I gave to a good friend of mine as I was making the one for her she said how did you know that was exactly what I was wanting I just love it. So any way I made another one to remember what I had done she is all the way across the U.S.A so we don't get to visit much. I realize my borders have been very boring and with the next two I am trying to finish I am going to actually put pieced borders on them so far, the borders are almost done so by the end of this week I should have them either on or partically done. I also have the guild meeting next Saturday. We are making a really quick and fun quilt so I will need to be some what ready for the class. I hope the wall hanging we do will be a great gift for my sister and another one for my mother-in-law. Any quilting is good quilting and progress in the right direction.
Stitching forward!!

Happy Halloween everyone.

Here is a cute little quick wall hanging just darling theme fabric squares and ties to quilt.
This one I did a few years ago just did a star from some where using Halloween fabric.
I hope everyone gets a chance to do their favorite Halloween tradition and also get a chance to do some stitching cause Christmas is coming and a quilt makes a great gift, and if you use your stash its practically already paid for just the backing and batting.

W.I.P.'s works in progress

This is one of the little pillowcase dresses I need to finish that I worked on last night.
Here is one of my resent finished projects Amish Bars I did all the stitching by hand and all the piecing the two things that were done by machine are the backing to make it bigger and the binding to stitch it to the quilt.
Also a resent finish I call it " Buggy Garden"  and I will try to remember not to turn the camera or learn how to turn the photo. I just wanted to make an applique quilt with a fun background not just white or off white.

This is a W I P a Dresden Plate my very first one. There are issues with this pattern and not very many people around to ask when you have a problem. I did get some help but keeping the plates flat and getting the middle circle in place is tricky these plates are not flat.
Here is the border for the Dresden Plate quilt  there are only 9, 13 inch squares.
I know that I can share this one here because Bonnie Hunter said so. This is her Pineapple Blossom  pattern which you can get on her website Quiltville Quips and Snips. This is a great scrap project and fast any one can do this in a weekend.
Here is me trying to stay organized, these are a few of my many works in progress, blocks that wait nicely by my machine for me to pick them up and little by little work on them.
Here is another box of works in progress boy have I got way to much to catch up on. Most of us know how it can get you either take a class to learn a technique or some thing just strikes you and you try to make some pattern or other, or the color of fabrics together says cut me now and do something with me.

At any rate I will probably never finish all that I have before me, but I am really going to enjoy trying.

here are some crumbs

Can any one or everyone tell what I am working on with this mess. The title says it all. I am really catching on to the spirit. I guess I can officially say I so far enjoy posting my quilting stuff, being a quilting freak. Well we all need to have something and mine is warm and pretty and makes you feel cozy when it is cold outside and when you give to others that makes you feel even better.

Blue quilts are where I started it all

I figured out how to download or upload a picture now I need to learn how to put words with the photos. At any rate I'm getting there, baby steps, just baby steps.

Playing and UFO's

While I am still playing with the blog site and learning how to put up pictures of quilts UFO's or FFO's or WIP I will just keep talking about whatever and just have fun.
I don't know how many out there have been where I am now just trying to get the hang of something new. I thought about this for a very long time. So many people are after me about getting a facebook account and I just don't want to do that. But for some reason the blog thing interested me. I of course went on line and asked about blogs and believe me there are many places to go and many questions have been asked and some have been answered however not all the questions. What does it all mean, what's a gadget where do you get them what is URL mean??? I truely believe I am not stupid but I do know that I am not very good at this yet.
As for the quilting today, as soon as I get my children off to school and pick out something for dinner I am going to the machine and stitching for as long as I can. Then pick up the kids while fixing dinner and dropping of child #1 eating dinner and then going to a sewing date at a local church to make  pillowcase dresses for the African people that need them.
The projects that I hope to tackle today are mostly scrappy, I seem to be quite the scrappy quilter. I bet you can guess who my hero's are.

UFO's

How many do you have in your quilting or creative closet. The last time I counted I had 30. I have finished several since the last count and started just as many if not more and I have taken some classes where I have finished the project and others where the project has not been finished yet. I will say that I also know that the teachers out there have quite a few quilts in various stages but your a teacher and you need those in order to really explain what you are teaching. I am talking to those of us who are every day individuals who have jobs and kids or pets and lives outside the house that take time and stop us from completing one project and another and another. I love it when I can go to a retreat and really work on a project that seems to be the only time where everyone elses schedual doesn't keep me from the goal. So here's to the messy houses, dirty clothes, dirty dishes and hungry families we will get to it in a minute. LOL!

help

I am very new to all of this stuff and don't understand exactly what I am supposed to do in order to have a nice blog site and put pictures of the progress I make on a daily or weekly basis, I am very hopeful that people out there will be kind and patient as I get this really going.
