More handmade Christmas Goodies !

I love making these "Its" they are so easy and fun, just take any kind of fabric cut out two shapes any way you want put on eyes and sew the two sides together, stuff and sew closed. I think they look very cuddelly and they do make a nice stocking stuffer.
Here is a shawl I am making for a special someone I will make another one almost like it for another special someone. There are many more gifts to make. I will probably make 5 to 6 slippers sets, a dozen ornaments, several merry mixes, a few pins for festive wearing, plus a few scarves and I think that will be all, parties have a way of poppinng up out of no where and I will need to have a gift for something or other.

I have managed to put the tree together but the ornamenst will have to waite for later. I put up several trees all over the house I have alot of ornaments.

Hand made Christmas workshop !

I have begun getting ready for Christmas. I helped both of my girls put up their trees.
This is my youngests tree I made the angle, and the red crochet garland, and several of the ornaments that you see on the tree.

This is my oldests tree she can be a bit more selective of how she decorates her tree. There are some of the felt with candy cane tale mice but thats about all you can see that are home made.

I love to do as much as I can to make my ornaments and gifts for Christmas. My list of stuff to make is pretty long but I have already started and I do have several things done, so hopefully I will get it all done in time. I have already made the cards and addressed them so as soon as the first gets here they will get right into the mail.

I hope all have a blessed holiday and remember to be thankful for the blessings that we all enjoy. Let us all remember those who are serving this great nation of ours, pray for their families and for a safe return home.
Happy Thanksgiving! Happy creating!

Garden Nine Patch

I have been very destracted this past week I haven't had a chance to blog about anything I've been doing. This is one of my many UFO's that is more now a work in progress I have all the vines and leaves on, now I need to start the flowers. I will be putting some very primitive folksy looking flowers next to the leaves.
I got the idea from a couple of different sources one was a magazine and the other a book they both showed alternating panels one had four patches and nine patches the other just panels with vines and flowers. I had made the darling nine patches with the intent on just trying to make a Irish Chain with alternate blank blocks and when I got them together it just looked terrible very plain. So I began to search for an idea and liked the panel ideas that were shown so I just combined the two ideas with the blocks and added the flowers (hence the name of the quilt Garden Nine Patch). Any way this really looks great even if I do say so myself.

Fabric Acquisition

For the up coming, guild work shop, we are making a wall quilt. Its a simple trick to make it look like applique but with out all the work. The instructions call for a light green and a dark green and an off white or white ( all fat quarter size) plus some wonderunder and freezer paper. When its done it will look like a Christmas Wreath, I would love to make several for gifts. Any way its always such fun going to the fabric store for any excuse, and sometimes you can really snag a bargain.

My very first real mystery with Bonnie

I'm  SOOO excited, I will be doing a mystery for the next several weeks I am hopeful that I will keep up. I hope my choices per the instructions are enough I will do my best with what I have as the rules state that we need to dig. I did do some digging which gave me these results.     Pinks. >>>>>
 >>>>>> Greens. >>>>>
>>>>> Browns. And >>>
>>>>Neutrals. >>>   These are my most difficult ones to find when I go on a  F.A.R.T. or when I go to a merchant mall at a quilt show I give a thorough look see for any and all neutrals with those wonderful tiny prints on them, I don't know whether its me and the way I look or they just aren't there. I won't give up the looking, besides I do find some great fabrics. Ready and waiting further instructions. Did I mention I am excited !?
